Dr. Heike Rahmann is a Senior Lecturer and Program Manager of the Bachelor of Landscape Architectural Design at RMIT University's School of Architecture and Urban Design. She holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Tokyo and has held roles such as Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science. Her research focuses on the intersection of landscape architecture, urban ecology, and digital technologies, with particular emphasis on Asian Urbanism. Dr. Rahmann has established collaborations with industry, government, and communities across Japan, Korea, Germany, and Australia.
Education: PhD in Architecture (University of Tokyo), Visiting Research Fellowship at University of Tokyo. Research interests include digital technologies in landscape design, urban transformation, and the cultural dimensions of urban spaces. She has authored/co-authored books like Tokyo Void: Possibilities in Absence and Landscape Architecture and Digital Technologies, and co-edited Embracing the Asian Century for Landscape Architecture Australia.
