Heike Joebges

Prof. Dr. Heike Joebges is a Professor for International Economics at Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW Berlin) since 2010. Her research focuses on financial systems, economic development, financial market stability, and the impacts of international trade and capital movements on national economies. She leads the cooperative doctoral program EQUALFIN (Finance and Inequality in Times of Polycrisis) between FU Berlin and HTW Berlin and serves as spokesperson for the international research network 'Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policies.'

Her teaching includes English-language courses in International Economics, Macroeconomics and Development, Central Banking, and Financial System Development at the MA MIDE level, as well as German-language courses in International Economic Relations, Macroeconomics, and economics-digitalization at BA BWP and MA MEWP levels.
