Dr. Heather Marie Stur is a Professor of History at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and a Senior Fellow at the Dale Center for the Study of War & Society. She has authored and co-edited influential books on military history, gender, and international relations, with a focus on the Vietnam War and post-1945 U.S. history.

Dr. Stur has contributed op-eds to major outlets like the New York Times and Washington Post, and her academic work appears in journals such as Diplomatic History. She has held a visiting professorship at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City.
