Dr. Heather Adams is an Associate Teaching Professor and Dean's Faculty Scholar at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, where she also serves as the Business Minor Faculty Director. She is affiliated with the Department of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics.
Dr. Adams holds a PhD in Information Systems with a minor in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and an undergraduate degree in Business with a minor in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire.
Her research and teaching interests span multiple domains in business education, with a focus on the intersection of technology and organizational behavior. Dr. Adams brings a unique perspective to her work through her diverse educational background that combines technical expertise with psychological insights into workplace dynamics. She teaches Analytics, Statistics, Systems Thinking, International Business, Leadership in a Digital Age, Management, and Organizational Behavior.
Dr. Adams has been recognized for her teaching excellence, winning the Kolb Fellowship award in 2020 and receiving multiple nominations for the Frascona Teaching Excellence award.
She teaches primarily in the Leeds School of Business but also contributes to the Continuing Education Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program at CU, demonstrating her commitment to expanding business education across multiple academic contexts.
