Hazel Work

Hazel Work is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociological and Psychological Sciences at Abertay University, where she has held this role since 1996. Prior to this, she was a research student and part-time tutor at Glasgow Caledonian University. She specializes in social and cultural theory, focusing on the interplay between popular culture and socio-ideological narratives, particularly regarding gender and crime. Her teaching includes modules on Durkheim, Gender and Crime, and Culture and Crime within criminology and sociology programs.
