Haya Al-Noaimi is an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Liberal Arts Program at Northwestern University in Qatar. Her research focuses on the meanings of 'protection,' security practices, and lived experiences of insecurity in the Gulf region, spanning colonial and postcolonial eras. She specializes in gendered aspects of militarization, particularly national male experiences of military service in Qatar and the UAE.

She contributes to interdisciplinary dialogues on security paradigms and societal transformations in the Middle East.
