Harvey R Kaslow

Harvey R Kaslow serves as Associate Professor of Physiology and Neuroscience at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. He directs the MS program in Medical Physiology and co-chairs the Endocrinology section of the medical student curriculum, teaching endocrinology, metabolism, and cell signaling across graduate, medical, and pharmacy programs.

His educational background includes graduate training in endocrinology and metabolism at UCSD followed by post-doctoral research on cell signaling mechanisms at UCSF.

Dr. Kaslow's primary research investigates cancer immunotherapy strategies to overcome tumor immunosuppression with reduced toxicity. His work examines how cytotoxic antibodies and T lymphocytes target cancer cells while developing compositions that counteract immunosuppressive factors in solid tumors. This research extends to immune regulation mechanisms in autoimmune conditions like Sjögren's syndrome and molecular engineering of bacterial toxins for therapeutic applications.
