Harry Richards

Harry Richards is a Senior Teaching Fellow and Deputy Director of the Portsmouth Military Education Team at the University of Portsmouth’s Faculty of Business & Law. He teaches Officer Cadets at RAF College Cranwell on topics like air power history, international security, and future warfare. Since 2018, he has focused on blended learning innovation for military education.

• Education: Ph.D. in Popular Emotions and the Spy Threat (Keele University, 2014–2018), MA in History of Warfare (King’s College London, 2012–2013)
• Research Interests: Espionage in WWI, public fears, xenophobia, and the social/cultural history of warfare.

His podcast Air Power and International Security explores airpower’s role in modern conflict. Key projects include studies on 'spy fever' and anti-alienism during WWI.
