Harry J. Holzer is the John LaFarge Jr. SJ Professor of Public Policy at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. His expertise focuses on low-wage labor markets, disadvantaged workers, and workforce policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and previously served as Chief Economist for the U.S. Department of Labor. Holzer's research has directly influenced federal policies including the First Step Act and Child Tax Credit expansions.
