Harrison Steel is an Associate Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and Tutorial Fellow at Harris Manchester College. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Sydney, followed by a DPhil at Oxford as a Monash Scholar. His research focuses on synthetic biology, control engineering, and bioprocess optimization, with a particular emphasis on microbial systems and genetic circuit design.
Dr. Steel’s work integrates computational modeling, experimental biology, and control theory to engineer robust biological systems.
