Harrison Meadows

Harrison Meadows is an Assistant Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). His research centers on Renaissance and Baroque Spain, focusing on theater and the history of spectacle, with a particular interest in Spain’s role in colonial expansion, capitalism, and the ideological shifts of early modernity.

• Education: Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder.
• Administrative Roles: Director of Graduate Studies for his department; served as Humanities Caucus Chair in the UTK Faculty Senate since 2021.
