Harris Wiltsher is an Associate Professor in Printmaking at the Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Center, Department of Visual Arts, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). Born in The Bronx, New York, with Jamaican and African-American heritage, he combines cultural documentation with tactile art forms like collage and printmaking to explore themes in the African Diaspora. His career spans roles as a Fulbright Scholar, gallery director, program administrator, and independent curator.

Wiltsher’s research focuses on using visual art to foster cultural and educational dialogues, particularly addressing tensions in the United States through tactile mediums. His curated works emphasize African Diaspora aesthetics and historical narratives.
His accolades include the BRIO Fellowship, Fulbright Scholarship, and a $150,000 grant for the Visual Arts Program. Wiltsher has taught courses such as Advanced Workshop, Silkscreen Printmaking, and Senior Portfolio, while mentoring notable student achievements, including a Verizon HBCU Student Art Competition winner and a Fulbright recipient for dance.
