Harriet Eyley is a British soprano and doctoral researcher at the Royal College of Music (RCM), holding an RCM Studentship and the Siow-Furniss Scholarship. Her performance career spans Europe, with recent role debuts at institutions like Welsh National Opera and Garsington Opera, including Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro and Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos. She is acclaimed for her en travesti performances, which also form the core of her thesis: The anachronism of the operatic Travesti in the 21st Century.
Her research interests intersect with collaborations at the University of Surrey with Dr. Barbara Gentili and Dr. Inja Stanovic on mechanical recording workshops for operatic voice, recreating historic cylinder and disc recordings. Awards include the Leonard Ingrams Award for her role in Ariadne auf Naxos and the Siow-Furniss Scholarship at RCM.
