Haridimos Tsoukas is the Columbia Ship Management Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Cyprus and Distinguished Research Environment Professor of Organization Studies at Warwick University. He holds a PhD in Organizational Sociology from Manchester Business School and has previously held academic positions at the Universities of Essex, Strathclyde, and ALBA Graduate School of Management.
His research spans organizational studies, strategic management, knowledge management, epistemology, complexity, and process philosophy. Tsoukas is renowned for developing original theoretical frameworks that integrate philosophical perspectives into organizational analysis, particularly through concepts like organizational becoming and phronetic judgment.
Tsoukas has received significant recognition for his scholarly contributions, including:
- EGOS Honorary Membership (2016)
- Doctor of Science honor from Warwick University (2014)
- Three peer-reviewed papers cited over 1,000 times
He maintains active engagement in executive education, notably teaching the course 'Leadership and the Art of Judgment' which incorporates Aristotelian philosophy and literary works from Shakespeare and Greek tragedies. Beyond academia, he contributes to public discourse as a political commentator on Greek affairs.
