With over 17 years of research experience in therapy-induced cardiovascular injury (TICvI), his work focuses on developing diagnostic biomarkers and vascular models for drug safety assessment.
Research Focus:
- Diagnostic miRNA biomarkers for early detection of cardiovascular injury
- Vascular toxicity mechanisms through GPCR signaling pathways
- Translational platforms for predicting drug-induced cardiotoxicity
His recent publications demonstrate a strong emphasis on cardiovascular implications of COVID-19 and cancer therapies, with methodological approaches spanning clinical trials, molecular diagnostics, and preclinical models.
Awards and Honors:
- ISCBFM Young Investigators Award
- International Fellowship Award
- PhD Stipend and Scholarship
Dr. Sandhu has supervised 3 PhD students and 12 MSc students, with active recruitment for new research students. His collaborations include partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and clinical researchers.
