معرفی
Harald Ng is a Ph.D. student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology's Data Systems Lab, advised by Paris Carbone and Seif Haridi. His research focuses on optimizing replication and transaction mechanisms in distributed systems by leveraging workload and network characteristics.
Research Interests
Harald's work addresses consensus algorithms, log replication, and fault-tolerant system design. He specializes in improving resilience to partial connectivity and implementing efficient reconfiguration protocols through practical workload analysis.
Key Contributions
As creator and maintainer of the OmniPaxos distributed log library in Rust, he has contributed to making consensus replication more accessible through simplified API abstractions. The library is actively taught in both KTH Royal Institute of Technology's ID2203 Distributed Systems, Advanced Course and Boston University's CS 651 Distributed Systems courses.
