Stefan Axelsson

Stefan Axelsson is a Professor at Stockholm University and a member of the Industrial Committee within the Digital Futures Faculty. He is part of the Digital Futures research center, a cross-disciplinary initiative established jointly by KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University, and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. The center focuses on developing digital technologies to address societal challenges and produce industrially relevant innovations and leaders.

His research interests revolve around leveraging digital technologies for societal impact, strategic technological advancement, and fostering innovation ecosystems. The center’s work spans computer science, systems engineering, and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive both academic and industrial progress.
