Hao Wang

Hao Wang serves as Adjunct Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), where he leads the Materials Research Program Team and previously directed the Centre for Future Materials. A member of the ARC College of Experts since 2017, he maintains significant international research collaborations including the China-Australia Institute for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing.

His educational background includes:

• PhD in Materials Engineering from University of Queensland (2001)
• Graduate Certificate in Education (GCertEd) from Queensland

Professor Wang's research focuses on three interconnected domains:

• Composite materials (flame retardants/high-performance polymers)
• Cement/concrete systems (geopolymer/ultra-high performance concrete)
• Energy materials (solid oxide fuel cells)

His work bridges materials science, civil engineering, and sustainable manufacturing with emphasis on low-carbon construction and advanced functional materials.

His scientific recognition includes:

• Fellow of Queensland Academy of Arts & Sciences
