Hans Wiesmeth

Hans Wiesmeth is a retired Professor of Allocation Theory at Technische Universität Dresden and an Ordinary Member of the Engineering Science Class at the Saxon Academy of Sciences in Leipzig. He served as Vice President (2012–2015) and Academy President (2016–2023). His research focuses on environmental policy, economic frameworks for innovation, and EU governance. Key roles include editing the Saxon Academy Yearbooks and leading projects on cultural heritage and digital humanities.
