Hans-Ulrich Humpf

Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Humpf is a full Professor of Food Chemistry at the University of Münster, serving as Dean of the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy (2018–2020). He leads the Institute of Food Chemistry and holds editorial roles for Mycotoxin Research and Molecular Nutrition and Food Research. His academic journey includes a PhD from the University of Würzburg (1992) and habilitation in 1999. Research focuses on mycotoxin stability, biomonitoring, and indoor exposure. Key expertise includes metabolomics, toxin metabolism, and food safety. Notable awards include the Stockmeyer Wissenschaftspreis (2002) and Josef-Schormüller-Stipendium (1996).
