Hans-Johann Glock is a Full Professor (Ordinarius) of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Zurich's Philosophisches Seminar, part of the Philosophische Fakultät. He holds leadership roles, including former Head of the Department of Philosophy (2017–2021) and President of the Philosophische Gesellschaft Zürich (2003–2009). His research focuses on Philosophy of Mind, Language, and the History of Analytic Philosophy, with a particular emphasis on Wittgenstein's work.
Education: M.A. from FU Berlin (1986), D.Phil. from Oxford (1990). Career highlights include visiting professorships at the University of Reading (1991–2003), Queen’s University (Canada), and the University of Luxembourg. Awards include the Alexander von Humboldt Research Award (2014) and a fellowship at KU Leuven (2023).
