Prof. Dr. med. Hans-Georg Kräusslich is a leading virologist and academic leader at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. He serves as Director of the Department of Infectious Diseases (formerly Hygiene-Institute) and Center Spokesperson for Infectious Diseases. His career spans roles as Full Professor, Executive Director of the Heinrich-Pette-Institute, and Chair of the Scientific Council of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology and member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences.
