Dr Hannes Stephan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics at the University of Stirling. His work focuses on environmental and energy politics, including climate policy, energy justice, and the cultural dimensions of environmental issues. He joined the University of Stirling in 2012 after postdoctoral research at Keele University and Lund University. His research examines low-carbon transitions, energy security, and unconventional gas extraction, with a particular emphasis on shale gas debates. Additionally, he explores the cultural politics of food and agriculture, including genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and agri-food systems.
