Dr. Hanneke Hoekstra is an Assistant Professor and Researcher in the Department of History at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts. Her work focuses on political culture, emotions, and gender in historical contexts, particularly within Dutch, Frisian, and British frameworks.
Education:
- PhD in History (1998), University of Groningen, thesis on Frisian writer Ypk fan der Fear.
- Postdoctoral Fellow (1998–2002), Erasmus University Rotterdam, European History.
