Dr. Hannah Wittman is a Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC), holding dual appointments in the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) and the Faculty of Land and Food Systems. Her research focuses on food sovereignty, agrarian reform, and socio-ecological transitions. She leads projects on farmland access, agroecological practices in Latin America, and institutional procurement strategies. Wittman co-founded the LiteFarm open-source platform for sustainable agriculture and directs the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm.
