Hannah Thomas is an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Oregon's School of Music and Dance, where she has been teaching since fall 2019. She specializes in dance and choreography with expertise spanning contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, African, and hip-hop styles. She is also involved in dance ministry, screen dance, musical theatre choreography, and sound engineering.

- BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, Georgia College and State University (2016)
Research Interests: Her work focuses on dance as both artistic expression and cultural practice, with particular emphasis on Black hip-hop pedagogy. She is a member of Embodied Scholars, a collective for Black hip-hop educators at the collegiate level. Her creative projects include developing a live podcast series exploring sisterhood in the Black community.

- Natalie Giustina Newlove Guest Artist Award (2021) - University of Oregon
Thomas has held teaching positions at Grand Canyon University and Arizona State University, and has trained with numerous dance organizations including Ballethnic Dance Company and DeKalb School of the Arts.
