Hannah Poulter is a Research Associate in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law at Teesside University, where she works with the Evaluation and Impact Team. She also holds a part-time position as Senior Qualitative Researcher at the University of Bristol. Hannah is currently completing her PhD by publication focused on harm reduction strategies for substance users in Teesside.
Education includes:
- BSc Psychological Science (First Class Honours) - University of Leeds
- MSc Health Psychology and Clinical Skills (Distinction) - Teesside University
- Advanced Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Studies - University of Derby
Her research examines health inequalities and wellbeing improvement for vulnerable populations, with specializations in:
- Harm reduction interventions for substance users
- Co-location of physical healthcare and treatment services
- Street drug usage patterns (particularly benzodiazepines)
- Mental health support systems
- Community-based health interventions
Recent publications (2024-2025) demonstrate strong focus on qualitative analysis of substance use patterns, mental health interventions, and healthcare access. Her work consistently addresses vulnerable populations through methodological approaches examining service delivery, co-production models, and treatment accessibility.
