Dr. Hannah McGlade is Associate Professor at Curtin Law School, Faculty of Business and Law, Curtin University, specializing in Indigenous human rights with focus on women and children.
Her research examines:
- Human rights violations against Aboriginal women in justice systems
- Traditional healing practices in mental health care
- Constitutional reform for Indigenous rights
- Child protection systems and family violence
She received the Stanner Award for Excellence in Aboriginal research for her book 'Our Greatest Challenge, Aboriginal Children and Human Rights'. She serves on multiple tribunals including the Mental Health Tribunal and has held positions at the UN Office of the High Commission on Human Rights.
