Hannah Grist is a Lecturer at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC), affiliated with the Rural Economy and Environment Society and the Environment & Countryside department. She specializes in behavioural and population ecology, focusing on marine and coastal environments, and has contributed to science communication and citizen science initiatives. Her work bridges ecological research with conservation policy and public engagement.
Education: PhD in Ecology (University of Aberdeen, 2014), MSc in Ecology and Environmental Management (University of York, 2009), BSc in Biological Sciences (University of Oxford, 2007).
Research interests include individual/geographical variation in ecosystems, citizen science methodologies, and stakeholder engagement. She coordinates projects like Capturing our Coast and collaborates with institutions across Scotland and the UK.
