Dr. Hannah Cross is a Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences and Course Leader for the MA Global Development at the University of Westminster. Her research examines international labour regimes with focus on West African migration systems and EU border policies. She holds a PhD from the University of Leeds and previously taught at Manchester and Leeds universities.
Her publications analyze the structural dynamics of labor mobility under global capitalism, including award-winning work on remittance economies and the CFA franc monetary system. As former chair of the Review of African Political Economy Editorial Group, she promotes critical scholarship on Africa-Europe relations.
She teaches modules on Global Political Economy, Development Governance, and Research Methods, emphasizing intersectional approaches to rethinking development paradigms.
