Dr. Hannah Cassidy is a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Brighton’s School of Humanities and Social Science. She serves as Co-Course Lead for BSc (Hons) Psychology and Module Lead for SS571 Childhood, Psychology & Society. Her research focuses on vulnerable children and adolescents in the criminal justice system, emphasizing forensic interviewing practices. She leads the Understanding Childhood and Adolescence Research Excellence Group and directs the Wonder Laboratory. Dr. Cassidy holds a PhD from the University of Portsmouth and a PGCert in Higher Education.

Collaborates with police to enhance investigative strategies. Key interests include child victims/witnesses, deception detection, and Mendez principles implementation.
Teaching: Designs modules on Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and Forensic Security. Integrates research insights into lectures, emphasizing critical thinking and real-world applications. Supervises final-year dissertations on forensic topics.
