Dr. Gary Lancaster is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Winchester. He holds roles on the RKE Ethics Committee as the HSS representative and oversees undergraduate and MSc-level ethical reviews in Psychology. Previously, he worked as a Senior Applied Cognitive Psychologist in the civil service and completed his PhD at the University of Portsmouth under Professors Aldert Vrij and Lorraine Hope, focusing on deception detection in investigative interviews.

Research Interests: Lancaster specializes in deception detection within forensic contexts, cognitive load theory, and ethical research practices.
