Hanna Schwank

Hanna Schwank is an Assistant Professor of Economic History at the University of Bonn's Department of Economics. She is affiliated with the Institute for Applied Microeconomics, the IZA Research Network, and the ECONtribute Research Cluster, and serves as an Associated Member in IZA's local research team. From Spring 2025, she will be visiting the University of Houston.

Her research focuses on labor economics, economic history, and gender economics, particularly examining individual responses to economic shocks, domestic migration patterns, and women's roles in labor markets. She teaches advanced courses in growth and development economics at the master's level.
