Hanna Lee (she/her) serves as an Adjunct Professor at Moore College of Art & Design, her alma mater where she earned both BFA and MA degrees. As a disabled and neurodivergent Korean-American art therapist and educator, she specializes in creating accessible artistic pathways for historically marginalized communities.
Her academic credentials include:
- Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University
- Masters in Art Education with an Emphasis on Inclusive Practices from Moore College of Art & Design
Lee's research examines art-making as liberation from societal constraints, focusing on disability-inclusive art therapy, culturally responsive education, and neurodiversity-affirming practices. She pioneers frameworks for Asian American disability advocacy through therapeutic art, emphasizing intersectional identity expression beyond physical, economic, and intellectual barriers. Her work integrates clinical counseling with community-based art education to transform systemic limitations into creative opportunities.
Currently, Lee concurrently serves as Director of Research at the Asian Americans with Disabilities Initiative while providing clinical therapy at Mango Tree Counseling & Consulting. Her advocacy extends through presentations at the National Art Educators Association, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (VSA Department), and International Conference on Disability Studies, Arts, and Education.
