Haneen Ali is an Associate Professor in the Health Services Administration Program at Auburn University's College of Liberal Arts. She holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from SUNY Binghamton (2016), alongside an MS and BS in Industrial Engineering and Biosystems Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on healthcare delivery systems, applying systems engineering and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, safety, and efficiency in healthcare. Notable areas include process redesign, technology integration, and human-computer interaction in clinical settings.
Dr. Ali's recent work explores maternal health outcomes during the pandemic, AI in education (e.g., ChatGPT applications), and predictive modeling in cardiovascular care. She has pioneered studies on frontline nurse compensation perceptions, smart notification systems in nursing homes, and reliability engineering for medical devices. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges engineering principles with healthcare challenges, emphasizing patient-centered solutions.
She is an active member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), and the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). Though no formal awards are listed, her extensive grant-funded projects and peer-reviewed publications reflect significant contributions to healthcare systems engineering.
