Lesley Strawderman

Lesley Strawderman is the International Paper Chair Professor and Associate Director of the Athlete Engineering Institute at Mississippi State University's Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department within the Bagley College of Engineering. She joined the faculty in 2006 after earning her Ph.D., M.S.I.E., and B.S.I.E. from Pennsylvania State University and Kansas State University, respectively.

Research Interests: Dr. Strawderman focuses on human factors, ergonomics, and usability metrics. She actively explores wearable technology acceptance, workplace ergonomics, and the integration of technology in industrial settings.

Professional Contributions: A Professional Engineer (PE) in Mississippi, she is a member of IIE, HFES, and ASEE. Her research has been published in journals like Human Factors in Manufacturing and Transportation Planning and Technology, and she has collaborated on industry case studies addressing wearable technology, safety systems, and transportation design.
