Hamid Movaffaghi is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in Structural Engineering at the Department of Engineering, University of Borås, with expertise in numerical methods, finite element modeling (FEM), and optimization algorithms. He plays a key role in teaching, supervision, and research within the Academy of Textiles, Technology and Economics.

His research focuses on sustainable structural design, including:
