Dr. Hamed Jahani is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University's School of Accounting, Information Systems & Supply Chain, Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA). His research integrates operations research, machine learning, and text-mining to address supply chain and logistics challenges, with a focus on sustainable solutions and real-world business applications. He has published in top-tier journals such as European Journal of Operational Research and Transportation Research Part E.
Dr. Jahani has over 10 years of industry experience as a data scientist/analyst at ANZ Bank, Swinburne University, and GIIDC. His work spans collaborative distribution networks, pandemic logistics, and sustainable energy supply chains. He actively engages in teaching Supply Chain Analytics, Information Systems, and Business Analytics courses at RMIT, Deakin, and Monash, employing innovative methods to enhance learning outcomes and achieving high student satisfaction scores.
His research interests include Supply Chain Analytics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, and Data Science, with contributions to healthcare supply chain resilience, agricultural sustainability, and disaster response systems. He currently supervises projects on anomaly detection in IoT networks, predictive modeling for Baptcare, and platform durability metrics.
Dr. Jahani collaborates with industry partners like Baptcare and Carsales, addressing practical challenges through data-driven solutions. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 7 (Clean Energy) and 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure).
