Hamad Khan is an Associate Professor of Business Management and Programme Director for the BA Business Management (International Business and Entrepreneurship pathways) at Richmond Business School. He transitioned from a 12-year career in marketing and advertising in Pakistan and UAE (holding roles like Group Account Director, Vice President, and General Manager) to academia in 2010. He joined Richmond Business School as an adjunct in 2013 and became a full-time Associate Professor in 2018.
Education:
- EdD (ongoing) in Education from the University of Bath
- MSc in International Management from the University of Reading
- MBA in Marketing from Southeastern University, USA
Research Focus: Pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment, and student-centered learning. He leads the 'Students as Partners' sub-team under the Curriculum and Learning Team (CLT) and focuses on co-creation of knowledge with students. His work emphasizes constructivist approaches and democratic classroom dynamics.
Teaching and Engagement: Teaches Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Digital Marketing across all undergraduate levels. Supervises Senior Project students. Engaged with institutions like Imperial College (Gamification in Pedagogy, 2019), Harvard Business Publishing, and The Higher Education Chronicle (US). Presented at Aydin University (Entrepreneurship Experiential Teaching, 2018) and the WRC Seminar (Constructivism, 2021).
