He earned his medical degree from Gülhane Military Medical Academy (1985) and doctorate in Physiology from Hacettepe University (1990). With over 17 Scopus-indexed publications and an h-index of 13, he leads research on oxidative stress mechanisms, environmental toxicology, and physiological responses to electromagnetic fields.
His research investigates:
- Antioxidant modulation of radiation/chemical-induced damage
- Neuroendocrine impacts of diabetes
- Occupational health biomarkers
- Cardiac and renal pathophysiological responses
Publication analysis reveals consistent focus on:
- Experimental models of oxidative stress
- Therapeutic applications of melatonin/vitamins
- Electromagnetic field bioeffects
- Molecular mechanisms of pesticide toxicity
Currently leads TÜBİTAK-funded projects (2025-2026) on genetic factors in pediatric surgical pathologies. Teaches doctoral courses including Circulatory System Physiology and Basic Pathophysiology, and undergraduate courses in human physiology.
