Hajung Lee is an Associate Professor of Religion, Spirituality & Society, and Bioethics at the University of Puget Sound. She holds a multidisciplinary background with degrees in Biomedical Engineering (Duke), Law (Seattle U), Theology (Fuller), Bioethics (Harvard), and a PhD in Religion and Society (Boston U). She has served as a Visiting Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School's Center for Bioethics and holds leadership roles in multiple bioethics organizations.

Her research focuses on bioethical issues at the intersections of religion, health equity, and emerging technologies. Key areas include immigrant prenatal care, reproductive ethics conflicts, and AI in healthcare. She has published on traditional medical practices, organ donation spirituality, and vaccine exemption policies.

Lee serves on institutional review boards and healthcare ethics committees, including roles at Partners Healthcare and Massachusetts General Hospital. She co-chairs multiple national bioethics working groups and participates in AI/religion exploratory initiatives.
