Hadi Bastani

Hadi Bastani is an Independent Researcher at the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Greenwich. His interdisciplinary work bridges sound art, anthropology, and electroacoustic composition, examining relationships between creative practice, digital technology, and social-spatial dynamics. His pioneering research on Iran's experimental electronic music scene represents the first academic study of this field.

As a practitioner, he creates electroacoustic compositions, improvised performances, and site-specific installations using synthesizers, microphones, and transducers. His artistic practice emphasizes sound-based ethnography and the politics of cultural production.
