Dr. Brona Martin is a Lecturer in Music and Sound at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the School of Stage and Screen within the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her work focuses on Electroacoustic composition, acoustic ecology, and spatialisation techniques to reveal understated sonic characters in real and imaginary soundscapes. She explores inclusive creative music technology through community engagement projects and innovative media like VR, smartphone apps, and streaming platforms.
Her research includes spatial audio applications in electroacoustic music, VR, and gaming, as well as leading projects like The Record Shop and Black Music Project, which document the cultural role of record stores through oral histories and multimedia resources. She serves as Knowledge Exchange Lead for the SOUND/IMAGE Research group.
