Dr. Ha Pham is a Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), affiliated with the School of Electrical and Data Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. He holds a B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (2007–2012). Prior to UTS, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (2011–2012) and a Research Scientist at Robert Bosch (2012–2016). His research focuses on high-efficiency, low-cost power electronics for industrial applications, including solar inverters, wireless charging systems, and semiconductor processing. Notable projects include the Zone-Control Induction Heating (ZCIH) system and the development of intelligent hybrid inverters. Dr. Pham has received the 2019 Endeavour Executive Leadership Award and was recognized as an Innovative Engineer by Engineers Australia. He actively participates in academic leadership, including leading the UTS Motorsports Team (2017–2019).
His academic service includes peer review for IEEE journals and conferences, such as the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Energy Conversion Congress. Teaching roles include coordinating the Power Circuit Theory course and tutoring electronics and circuits. His patents include innovations in balancing circuits and wireless EV chargers.
