Halit Tutar is a Lecturer at Bingöl University’s School of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Department of Plant and Animal Production. He holds a PhD in Field Crops from Bingöl University (2017-2021) and conducted doctoral research at Russia’s Peoples’ Friendship University. His work focuses on bioenergy crops, sustainable agriculture, and crop productivity analysis in Eastern Anatolia.

Research Interests:
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of bioenergy crops like sorghum-sudangrass hybrids and switchgrass
- Energy balance analysis of forage crops (bitter vetch, forage pea)
- Econometric modeling of crop production (potato, cottonseed)
Grants & Projects:
- Lead researcher for TÜBİTAK-funded study on Hatay farmers’ socio-economic analysis (completed)
- Contributed to Bingöl University projects on wheat productivity, potato yield analysis, and apiary structural evaluation (ongoing: 2 projects)
Recent Work:
His publications explore energy efficiency in crop production and crop modeling, with a focus on Anatolian ecological conditions. Current projects analyze forage pea genotypes and botanical composition of local agricultural lands.
