HACI AHMET DEVECİ is a Professor at Gaziantep University's Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and also holds a professorship in the Institute of Sciences, Biochemistry Science and Technology Department. His academic career spans over 17 years with progressive appointments from Lecturer to Professor, demonstrating significant contribution to academia.
His research interests primarily focus on oxidative stress, biochemistry, nutrition science, functional foods, nutraceuticals, and food safety. His work explores the biochemical mechanisms of oxidative stress in various contexts including pesticide toxicity, liver protection, and animal health. Professor Deveci's research bridges veterinary biochemistry with human nutrition, creating a unique interdisciplinary approach to understanding biochemical pathways in health and disease.
His recent publications (2021-2024) demonstrate a strong research trajectory with numerous articles in high-impact journals (Q1-Q4 SCI-Expanded). His work spans analytical chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, and nutritional science, with particular emphasis on pesticide effects, natural antioxidants, and food safety. The research consistently investigates oxidative stress markers across diverse models including human patients, livestock, and aquatic organisms.
Professor Deveci has successfully led and participated in 11 research projects (2005-2024), including TÜBİTAK-funded studies and university-supported research initiatives. His editorial contributions to 8 publications, including books and journals, further demonstrate his standing in the academic community.
