Günther Patzig (deceased February 2, 2018) was a prominent scholar in Greek philosophy, logic, and ethics. He held academic positions at the University of Hamburg and University of Göttingen, including Chair of Philosophy at Göttingen (1963–1991) and Full Professor at Hamburg (1963). He transitioned to Professor Emeritus status in 1991.
