Güler CİMETE is a Professor of Nursing (Ebelik) at Uskudar University. She holds a PhD from Hacettepe University (1991) and has served as Head of the Nursing Department since 2016. Her work focuses on pediatric nursing, palliative care, maternal-child health, and healthcare education innovations. She has led over 15 graduate theses and authored/co-authored 6 books and book chapters on topics like palliative care, neonatal discharge protocols, and social skills programs for children.
Research Interests: Her primary areas include:
- Terminal pediatric care ethics
- Cancer grief support for families
- Climate change education in nursing curricula
- Video-based simulation training for nursing students
- Neonatal discharge risk assessment
- Social skills interventions for child behavioral issues
Recent Article Trends: Her 2024 work examines climate crisis education effects on nursing students. Earlier studies (2015-2019) focused on asthma management programs and social skills training for children. A 2016 study validated neonatal discharge tools, while 2021 research explored parental grief after pediatric cancer deaths.
