Dr. Gönül Dilaver is an Associate Professor in Research and Innovation of Biomedical Education at UMC Utrecht and Utrecht University, serving as Director of the Bachelor's Program in Biomedical Sciences since 2022. She leads the Expertise Group Education Life Sciences and chairs the Platform Diversity & Inclusion at UMC Utrecht, focusing on educational innovation and equity initiatives.
- MSc in Medical Biology (1999) and PhD in Cell Biology (2005) from Radboud University Nijmegen
Her research bridges Life Sciences and Social Sciences, emphasizing educational methodology, statistics, and inclusive pedagogy. She has pioneered programs like the Life Sciences Academy, Unravelling Bias in Science course, and Navigation Towards Personal Excellence mentoring initiative.
