Gábor Háden is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology, part of the Research Centre for Natural Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His work focuses on auditory and speech perception, early perceptual development, and electrophysiological methods such as EEG/ERP. He has held postdoctoral positions at institutions including the University of Amsterdam and the University of Cambridge.
Education: PhD in Cognitive Science from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (2005–2011), graduate studies in Psychology at the University of Szeged (2000–2005).
Research Interests: Auditory perception mechanisms, speech/music perception in infants, rule extraction in auditory processing, auditory imagery, electrophysiological methods (EEG, ERP), mismatch negativity (MMN), and brain-computer interfaces. He collaborates internationally with experts in developmental psychology and cognitive neuroscience.
Grants & Awards: Recipient of the Béla Julesz Award (2009) and multiple grants including the MTA Premium postdoctoral program (2018–2021) and NKFI-funded projects on early language development and auditory processing.
Teaching: Taught courses on cognitive neuroscience and auditory perception at Pázmány Péter Catholic University and Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Labs/Teams: Member of the Sound and Speech Perception Research Group, exploring neural mechanisms of auditory attention and developmental speech processing.
